The 150 year old Sale Botanic Gardens sits next to the Lake Guthridge precinct and contains beautiful gardens, grassed areas, paved walking areas, a playground (including flying fox), undercover picnic areas, sculptures, a fauna enclosure, sensory garden, elm forest and the Lakeside Entertainment and Arts Facility.
The internationally listed Sale Common wetlands offers freshwater marshes and red gum woodlands with an enormous variety of birdlife that you can see from the boardwalk. The boardwalk starts at the edge of the swamp, continues past deeper water, islands and through a small reed bed. At the eastern end of the boardwalk, relax and watch the pelicans, swans and ducks from the bird hide.

The Sale Swing Bridge is located on the South Gippsland Highway Longford, 5km south of the city of Sale, Victoria, Australia and spans the Latrobe River at its junction with the Thomson River. Built in 1883 by the Victorian government, it was the first movable bridge built in Victoria.

Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park is a magnificent area of natural bushland just a few minutes North of Heyfield on the Tinamba-Glenmaggie Road. Set on approximately 50 acres of land managed by Parks Victoria and maintained by Gippsland Mountain Bike Club, Blores Hill MTB boasts an array of trails specifically designed for mountain bike riders. There are many trails of different styles and difficulties, ranging from beginners to the most experienced with many features including, jumps, bridges, rocky outcrops, technical elements and flowing trails throughout the beautiful bushland.
The Gippsland Plains Rail Trail extends 63km from Traralgon to Stratford in Central Gippsland, Victoria. The trail passes through high quality dairy country, and offers panoramic views of the Great Dividing Range to the north, and sweeping 3600 views across the Great Gippsland Plains.
